The Bighorn gully resident Recreation region is serene of more than 120,000 acres straddling the northern Wyoming and southern Montana limits. It was formed in 1966 next the construction of the Yellowtail Dam, which harnessed the waters of the Bighorn brook and twisted that erratic flood into the breathtaking, 70+ mile long Bighorn Lake, 55 miles of which are detained inside magnificent Bighorn gully.

Bighorn gully skin a large assortment of recreational activities, like camping, biking, boating, fishing and climbing. The valley also boasts dazzling vistas and great opportunities for plants observation. Boats can be borrowed in the summer at the recreation areas port. Afterbay Lake below the Yellowtail Dam is a first-toll pimple for trout fishing, as is the Bighorn brook below the Afterbay Dam.

There are two visitor centers for Bighorn gully, one in fortress Smith, Montana and another near Lovell, Wyoming. There are also numerous other urbanized visitors facilities.
